How to Search for Your Need Files

1. Using the search box properly can save you a lot of time on filtering the files from the massive file folders. If you know the name of the files you are looking for, you can type in any keywords combination to display all the files that are associated with these keywords only. Or you can directly check the sub folders listed under “Deleted Files” to see if you can find the missing files you want. If there is no luck to find the right files or no luck to open the files, which means that those files are not recoverable with the original names and folders. In such a case, the best result you can get is to recover the content of the files without the names/folders.

2. Although the file lose its original name, but the file size would still be the same. Thus, we can try to locate the files in another way: Input the file extension in the search box and it will give you a result that associated with that file type. List the those found files by size and be focus on the missing file with the same size as the one you were not able to be opened from the previous folder.

3. If that file is still not opened, please go through the files in “Tags” folder. Those files are reorganized by our software after scanning the device information on the disk. You will see the files in different types more intuitively.

4. If the files under “Tags” are not recoverable, then please go through the files in “File Lost Original Name”.

5. The File Filter option will also be helpful. For example, you can choose to display the file by last modification date, type or size.

1. Please NEVER try to recover data to the original location where contains lost data until you have all your data recovered.
