Copy-on-write mechanism error, please close other programs and try again

Introduction

When backing up or cloning partition/disk, you may encounter the error "Copy-on-write mechanism error, please close other programs and try again." and operation fails.

Solution

1. Close other application to reduce hard disk I/O transmission.
2. Add new volume in your system for temp file storage.
3. Reboot OS and try again.
