Introduction:

If the message ‘The location is invalid’ appears unexpectedly after you click Proceed to start a backup, that is usually because the backup target folder is no more existed or you have insufficient permission to write to the specified target folder.

The location is invalid error

Solution:

To troubleshoot the error, you have first check if the target folder is still there for access. The folder may be lost or changed due to:
partition formatted
folder mistakenly deleted
external hard drive removed or drive letter changed.

If this is the case, you just need to select a new folder as the target or manually create the folder on target partition to make the target folder working again.

Manually create folder on target disk for saving backup image

But if the folder is still there and it has the exactly same path name as our product lists, then it is probable that you do not have enough permission to write to the target folder. For how to determine if this is the cause and how to gain correct permission to start a backup then, please see the guide PDF.
