Introduction

This guide outlines the procedure for creating a disk image from a faulty drive. Should the original faulty drive fail or develop further issues, you may recover your files directly from this generated disk image.

How to create the image file

1. Launch EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard and select More Recovery Tools. Locate the Image Recovery feature within this menu.

2. Click Image Recovery. Two options will appear: Create Image and Import Image. Select Create Image, then follow the onscreen prompts to generate an image of your target drive.

3. Diskimage creation typically requires a significant amount of time to complete. Once the process finishes, the software will automatically scan the newlycreated disk image.

4. After the scan completes, review the discovered files. Save any required files to a separate, healthy storage drive.
